NEH 8: Humanities Collections and Reference Resources Grant (2020-2022)

The National Endowment for the Humanities has generously granted EBBA an eighth award of $350,000 to digitize and archive c. 1000 ballads held by nearly 100 institutions across the globe, including Cambridge University Libraries (non-Pepys ballads); Duke University's Rubenstein Rare Books Library, Durham, NC; the Folger Shakespeare Library, Washington, DC; Guildhall Library, London; Lambeth Palace Library, London; the National Archives of London; the New York Public Library; the Newberry Library, Chicago, IL; the Pierpont Morgan Library, New York, NY; the UCLA's Clark Library, Los Angeles, CA; the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign; the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA; the University of Texas at Austin's Harry Ransom Center; and Williams College's Chapin Library (a full list of institutions can be found in Appendix 1 of the grant application; see the link below). The grant period is 2018-2020.
