IT being my fate to walke out of late A mile or two from the Towne, Five maides there were playing, and by their words saying, I found they were true to the Crown boyes, I found they were true to the Crowne. There was but two men which was with them then Who sat so demure as a sister If such had been there I durst almost swear, Those zelots they would have kist'er boyes, Those zelots they would have kist'er. With sack and good sherry, these maidens were merry, And civilly went for to sing, One being in place did speake with a grace: Lets drinke a good health to the King boyes, Lets drinke a good health to the King.
Quoth the men its vainely to drink so prophainely, We'd rather throw straws at the wall. The maidens that day did kicke them away, For they found um as round as a Ball Boyes, For they found them as round as a Ball. Then sweet mistrisse Sary with a cup of Canary, Began to drinke healths amaine, In a pure silver boule this cup it did troule, Quite round and round againe boyes, Quite round and round again. Sary. A health to King Charles, to his Lords and his Earles, Lord send him long for to reign, Prosper and guide him, let no ill betide him. I hope for to see him againe boyes, I hope for to see him againe.
