BRIGHT Phoebus one Morning, Began to appear, I heard a fair Maiden, Lament for her dear, And thus on her Spinnet, Did sweetly play, O hap------py Morn, That my Jewel was born, Welcome the Birth Day. I took her to be some, Sweet Goddess Devine, Her Eyes like the Twinkling Stars they did shine, Her Cheeks like the Rose, And the Lilly so gay, O happy etc. You Nympths that complain, Thet Young Men are unkind, Or call them a Flower, Or False blast of Wind, Behold my Dear Rose, That ss Constant to me, O happy etc. My Rose it is Blooming, And now its prime, I covet no Kingdom, So long as he's mine, We'll feed on the Valleys, Where Lambs they do play, O happy etc. We'll revel in Sports, That shall lead us to Bliss, The small birds shall Crown, Our sweet Happiness,
We'll guide our Flocks, That they go not astray, O etc. Let Heroes for Honour, be striving to gain, I covet no bliss, but to live with my Swasn, For true Love is sweeter, Than blossoms in May, O etc. Let Phillis give over, Her Wanton and learn, Our innocent Pleasures, Thrt lead to no harm, Let Young Men be kind, Lead not Virgins astray, O etc. When tired with Pleasure, We lay down to rest, My Love makes his Pillow, On my Snowe breast, On the banks of white Lillies, We Sport and we play, O etc. And now this blest Mornin, mp Head i'll adorn, With the sweetest of Flowers, The Duq he was born, For once in a Year, Sport and do play, O happ[y] morn, That mq Jewel was born, Welcome the birth.
