O Lord that art our God, ryght fearefull and eke myghtie which evermore dost kepe ful sure, thy covenaunt & thy mer-cie With thee that love the & kepe thy commaundemetes but we have all departed from thy preceptes & Judgementes Ah we have synned lord, and the offended sore we have bene disobedient, and gone backe evermore We had yet never wyll, our selfes to trade and frame to here thy servauntes the Prophets, whiche truly in thy name Dyd speake unto our kynges and princes through the land [?] that they should understand [?] belongth unto thy name [?] is due but open shame [?]owe at this same daye [?]s well perceve we maye [?]solem do dwell [?]ll Israell [?] I meane O lord Jerusalem, which is thyne holy hyll And whye? even for our synnes and for the wickedness of oure forefathers, nowe is all this citie in distresse And we thy people all, abhorred be throughout all nacions and peoples eke, that dwell us round about Nowe therfore O thou God of our salvacion heare this the prayr of thy servaunt and sunplicacion And let thy face O lord most gloriouse in hast upon thy sanctuarye shyne whiche nowe lieth voyd and wast O lord my God I saye, some pitie on us take inclyne thyne eare, disclose thyne eye, at least for thyne owne sake Beholde O lorde howe we, confunded be with shame yea and the citie whiche also, is called after thy name We do not cast our prayers, O lord before thyne eyes trustyng in our owne ryghtuousnes, but in thy great mercies O God bowe down thyne eare, O lord forgeve our wrong considre lord our miseries, and tary not to long My God for thyne owne sake, make hast to do the same for thy citie and people both be called by thyne owne name.
