                     <l n="36" rend="left"><hi rend="italic">(As many have done I have known in my life)</hi></l>
                     <l n="37" rend="left"><hi rend="italic">They lay their hand on the Pot both,</hi></l>
                     <l n="38" rend="left"><hi rend="italic">And loth they are to spill the broth;</hi></l>
                     <l n="39" rend="left"><hi rend="italic">The one doth tug, the other doth ill,</hi></l>

                     <l n="41" rend="left"><hi rend="italic">But they shall answer another day,</hi></l>
                     <l n="42" rend="left"><hi rend="italic">For casting the Liquor so vainly away;</hi></l>
                     <l n="43" rend="left"><hi rend="italic">But had it been in the Leather Bottle,</hi></l>

                  <lg>
                     <l n="47" rend="left"><hi rend="italic">Then what do you say to these silver Flaggons fine?</hi></l>
                     <l n="48" rend="left"><hi rend="italic">Why, they shall have no Praise of mine;</hi></l>
                     <l n="49" rend="left"><hi rend="italic">For when a Lord he doth them send,</hi></l>
                     <l n="50" rend="left"><hi rend="italic">For to be filld with Wine as he doth intend,</hi></l>
                     <l n="51" rend="left"><hi rend="italic">The Man with his Flaggon runs away,</hi></l>
                     <l n="52" rend="left"><hi rend="italic">Because it is Silver so gallant and gay,</hi></l>
                     <l n="53" rend="left"><hi rend="italic">O then the Lord begins to ban,</hi></l>
                     <l n="54" rend="left"><hi rend="italic">And swears he has lost both Flaggon and Man;</hi></l>

                  <lg>
                     <l n="58" rend="left"><hi rend="italic">A Leather Bottle we know is good,</hi></l>
                     <l n="59" rend="left"><hi rend="italic">Far better than Glasses, or Cans of Wood;</hi></l>
                     <l n="60" rend="left"><hi rend="italic">For when a Man is at work in the field,</hi></l>

                     <l n="65" rend="left"><hi rend="italic">Wherefore let none this Bottle refrain.</hi></l>
                     <l n="66" rend="indent"><hi rend="italic">For I wish, etc.</hi></l>

                     <l n="75" rend="left"><hi rend="italic">Saying, Good Bottle stand my friend,</hi></l>
                     <l n="76" rend="left"><hi rend="italic">And hold till this Day doth end.</hi></l>
                     <l n="77" rend="indent"><hi rend="italic">For I wish, etc.</hi></l>
                  </lg>
                  <lg>
                     <l n="78" rend="left"><hi rend="italic">And likewise the Hay-makers they,</hi></l>
                     <l n="79" rend="left"><hi rend="italic">When as they were turning and making their hay,</hi></l>

                     <l n="81" rend="left"><hi rend="italic">A good Bottle full will do us no harm:</hi></l>
                     <l n="82" rend="left"><hi rend="italic">And at noon-time when they set them down,</hi></l>
                     <l n="83" rend="left"><hi rend="italic">For to drink of their Bottle and Ale so brown:</hi></l>
                     <l n="84" rend="left"><hi rend="italic">When the Lads and the Lasses begin to tattle,</hi></l>

                     <l n="88" rend="indent"><hi rend="italic">Then I wish, etc.</hi></l>
                  </lg>
                  <lg>
                     <l n="89" rend="left"><hi rend="italic">Also the Leader, Loader, and Pitcher,</hi></l>
                     <l n="90" rend="left"><hi rend="italic">The Reaper, Hedger, and the Ditcher,</hi></l>
                     <l n="91" rend="left"><hi rend="italic">The Binder, and the Raker, and all,</hi></l>
                     <l n="92" rend="left"><hi rend="italic">About the Bottles ears do fall:</hi></l>
                     <l n="93" rend="left"><hi rend="italic">And if the Liquor be almost gone,</hi></l>
                     <l n="94" rend="left"><hi rend="italic">His Bottle he will patr with to none;</hi></l>
                     <l n="95" rend="left"><hi rend="italic">But says, My Bottle is but small,</hi></l>
                     <l n="96" rend="left"><hi rend="italic">One Drop I will not part withal;</hi></l>
                     <l n="97" rend="left"><hi rend="italic">You must go drink at some spring or Well,</hi></l>
                     <l n="98" rend="left"><hi rend="italic">For I will keep my Leather Bottle.</hi></l>
                     <l n="99" rend="indent"><hi rend="italic">Then I wish, etc.</hi></l>
                  </lg>
                  <lg>
                     <l n="100" rend="left"><hi rend="italic">Thus you may hear of a Leather Bottle,</hi></l>
                     <l n="101" rend="left"><hi rend="italic">When it is filld with good Liquor well,</hi></l>

                     <l n="108" rend="left"><hi rend="italic">Likewise the man that works io the Wood,</hi></l>
                     <l n="109" rend="left"><hi rend="italic">A Bottle of Beer doth oft do him good.</hi></l>
                     <l n="110" rend="indent"><hi rend="italic">Then I wish, etc.</hi></l>
                  </lg>
                  <lg>
                     <l n="111" rend="left"><hi rend="italic">Then when this Bottle doth grow old,</hi></l>
                     <l n="112" rend="left"><hi rend="italic">And will no longer good Liquor hold,</hi></l>
                     <l n="113" rend="left"><hi rend="italic">Out of the side you may take a Clout,</hi></l>

                     <l n="115" rend="left"><hi rend="italic">Else take it and hang it upon a pin,</hi></l>
                     <l n="116" rend="left"><hi rend="italic">It will serve to put odd triffles in,</hi></l>
                     <l n="117" rend="left"><hi rend="italic">As Hinges, Awls, and Candle-Ends,</hi></l>
